As our Purity + Peace Lifegroup has come to an end, the grand finale, a purity ceremony, was the best way to celebrate the end of a journey and the beginning of a new chapter for four ladies who decided to take the bold step to recommitting themselves to the Lord in a new way.
Our purity ceremony was held on Saturday, April 30th, and after going through weeks of digging through our pasts, acknowledging our weaknesses and strengthening ourselves in God's word, it was only right to plan a re-dedication ceremony.
I was able to use decor from my wedding to decorate for the event. It was such a good feeling to be able to do that, as I wanted this night to be super special for these women, and it was my way of sharing my special day of redemption (my wedding day) with their day of redemption. The symbolism was uncanny. We used flower balls, flower walls, lanterns, marketing lighting, candles --- the works! The room looked entirely romantic!
The ceremony began with me giving an intro and welcome. Two of our very own shared powerful testimonies of their faith journey and one of our Pastors lead the women and their families in the vow renewal ceremony after sharing a timely word on commitment. Simply put, it was awesome.
I look forward to seeing where God brings this ministry and holding events in connection with this theme that is so dear to my heart.
